Animal Control Kennel Position (Part-time Non-Exempt)

Salary: $40/trip

Typical Schedule: Weekends and holidays; two feeding trips per day, approximately 8 hours/weekend plus any holidays

Lee County is looking for an Animal Control Kennel person to join our team!

Animal Control kennel staff will help keep the animals that are in our facility fed, watered and clean on the weekends and holidays that the office is closed.

On a day-to-day basis, our Animal Control kennel staff:

Feed each animal as directed
Fresh water daily
Clean and sanitize each kennel
Wash all dirty bowls
Laundry - wash/dry/fold/put away
Writing down anything unusual with any animal
Cleaning up feces outdoors
Report to Animal Control Administrator

Our ideal candidate will have:

Valid Illinois Driver's License (required)
A High School Diploma or GED (required)
Two years' experience in an Animal Control facility or Vet Clinic.
Ability to carry out duties with no supervision after training.
Ability to work weekends and holidays
